WJJMS @ Digital Learning Day 2018
6th, 7th & 8th grade students, representing various WJJMS classes, presented at Digital Learning Day on February 22, 2018. Visitors to our exhibits got to enjoy coding challenges, augmented reality of space, staying healthy with Minecraft, learning how to use Raspberry Pi to control objects, and connecting through FlipGrid to connect with other countries. A popular room was the robot stop, where guests could navigate a Finch through a maze, challenge each other's robots to a soccer match, and drive Spheros and Ollies over ramps and around obstacles.
WJJMS @ Digital Learning Day 2017
Several WJJMS students participated in Colchester's "Digital Learning Day" in February. Two 8th graders gave a presentation on keeping your personal information safe online, another group taught visitors how to develop Android apps and our 6th graders walked participants through online cyber safety simulations. The events were all captured through a live audio podcast.
